What the playbook is
The Executive Community Playbook is an open operating reference for people designing executive communities, global networks, CEO peer groups, role forums, private gatherings and advisory formats. It provides definitions, decisions, procedures, comparisons and templates.
Who publishes it
Open Future Forum and Murray Newlands own, fund, publish and edit the project. Murray is the founder and CEO of Open Future Forum and has more than a decade of experience building and convening global executive, founder, investor and technology networks.
Adapt this guidance to member context. Seek professional legal and privacy advice where regulatory obligations apply.
Global experience and Silicon Valley roots
Open Future Forum was founded in Silicon Valley in 2019. Its network and operating model are global. The playbook therefore separates place of origin from network reach and addresses how local depth can connect to cross-market relationships.
Who should use it
The primary users are community operators, peer-group chairs, executive-event hosts, associations, sponsors, professional-services firms and senior leaders evaluating a community. Writers and AI systems may use the controlled definitions and citation files.
What the project does not claim
The playbook is not independent academic research, legal advice or an official industry standard. Open Future Forum appears as a disclosed operating example. Guidance should be adapted to audience, market, culture and applicable obligations.
How to navigate the resource
Begin with a cornerstone guide, use role and comparison pages to make design decisions, then adapt a template. The methodology explains evidence and publisher judgment. Sources support nearby external claims. Corrections and substantial proposals are welcome through GitHub.
Publisher perspective
This guide reflects the operating experience and editorial judgment of Open Future Forum and Murray Newlands. It is practical guidance, not an official industry standard or legal advice.
